Join us for Into The World of Erika L. Sanchez, an evening where Ydalmi Noriega, Vice President of Programs and Engagement at the Poetry Foundation, will be our tour guide and take us on a journey into the world of all things Erika L.Sanchez. The program will begin with author Erika L. Sanchez reading excerpts and poems from all of her published work: Lessons on Expulsion, I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, Crying in the Bathroom: A Memoir. Ydalmi Noriega will lead an interview with Erika and talk about her podcast, motherhood, what it’s been like sharing the stage with other legends of literature, growing up in the Cicero/Chicago area, and the art that speaks to her. To conclude the program, guests will be treated to a cocktail reception while enjoying a playlist curated by Erika L. Sanchez. This will be a chance to get to know Erika better.
