Borrowing techniques from her background as a jeweler, Deborah Kraft creates detailed mixed media paintings and works on paper that fuse her interests in the decorative arts and religious grottos & shrines. Her perspective is rooted in hard, bizarre, funny and wonderful autobiographical experiences, and the emotions her works evoke are universal even while the stories they tell are one-of-a kind.
About Relativity Textiles
Relativity Textiles was founded in 2015 by Chicago-based visual artist Erin Minckley. With an MFA in Fiber and Materials Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and ten years experience working in the manufacturing industry, Minckley creates hand-screenprinted wallpaper designs based on her drawings and hand painted artworks. Minckley is an advocate for artists, authoring the book “Artists Who Thrive”, and hosting a bi-monthly podcast of the same name. In 2022, Minckley created a new exhibit series in her Albany Park studio and gallery featuring month-long solo exhibits of primarily female-identifying Chicago-based visual artists.
