pride4sex: An LGBTQ Art Exhibition curated by TotesFerosh
As the idea of “LGBTQ Pride” becomes common in mainstream culture, the conversation of making Pride more family friendly has become commonplace, including the banning of kink and sex-related motifs at some Pride parades. Pride celebrates the history of a community who paved the way for the acceptance we have now—a community that was ostracized for being their authentic selves. With sexuality one of the most critical factors of that rejection, sexual expression deserves to hold its place as a major piece of Pride celebrations. This exhibition aims to promote all forms of love displayed by LGBTQ folx not only during Pride, but all year long. From body love, to sex positivity, and of course kink and fetish, this selection of work curated by artist TotesFerosh features a diverse roster including 10 of Chicago’s most provocative artists who will not be censored.
