Behar teaches art history at the School of the Art Institute and is a Ph.D. candidate in art history at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her dissertation is entitled, “Intimate Space and the Public Sphere: Margarita Paksa in Argentina’s Military Dictatorship.” Lara is a Mexican-born, Chicago-based artists who received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute and his work creates memorials of fragmented and complex realities that break from traditional construction.
