Community lunch is an ongoing tradition at Mana Contemporary, where artists convene weekly to catch up, meet new people, and exchange ideas over lunch. Community director Sarah Khalid Dhobhany introduces two members from the Mana Contemporary community in conversation about what they are doing and creating during this time.

This week, artists Alberto Aguilar and Alex Bradley Cohen join us for lunch.

Alberto Aguilar is a _______-based artist born in _______, __. He has exhibited his artwork at various museums including the ________ Museum of _______ Art, Museum of ___________ Art _______, ___________ Institute of Art, The _______ _______ Museum of ________ Art and The Art _________ of _______. In his work he uses a straightforward visual language to connect with the viewer but purposefully voids out information as a way to create intrigue.

Chicago-based Alex Bradley Cohen has had solo exhibitions at Mana Contemporary Chicago; Nicelle Beauchene Gallery, New York; and Slow Gallery, Chicago. Selected group exhibitions include Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, Arkansas; Heaven Gallery, Chicago; and University Art Museum at University of Albany.
