Feb 27th 2020

Ada Cheng, the producer and host of the popular Am I Man Enough? Show, will be hosting an event entitled Re-Envisioning Masculinity: An Interactive Workshop, Storytelling, and Dialogue on Toxic Masculinity at the bookstore.

This event will weave storytelling, workshop, and dialogue together. In addition to a facilitated conversation based on the questions listed below, she will have two guests, Delia Kropp and Carlos Benitez, share personal stories to highlight how the culture of toxic masculinity has affected their lives, followed with a critical dialogue among all three of them based on the stories shared. If time permits, she will invite audience members to share stories as well.

Through a facilitated conversation, we will examine the following issues:
I. What is toxic masculinity?
II. Why is it important to examine it under the current sociopolitical climate?
III. Where does it all start and how does it manifest itself?
IV. How does it affect all of us?
V. How can individual and collective changes take place?
