Join the growing photography community at Mana Contemporary for our inaugural #WIP Photo Slideshow in Chicago. Selected from an international open call, photographers present and discuss their works in progress with the public.
For this edition, we invite photographers whose work addresses the theme of memory and archive. Memory and photography both involve the process of recording images that may be used to recall the past. Are photographs a good way to remember things? What are some of the ways in which memory has become a tool for critically theorizing photography and the archive?
Submissions should be formatted in a single slideshow file. Each project should be no more than four minutes and can incorporate sound and moving images, but should be still photography-based.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, and to send submissions (via WeTransfer or Dropbox).
Submissions must be received by November 3, at midnight CST. Selected photographers will be notified by November 8.
