Acclaimed rapbrarian (rapping librarian) Roy Kinsey shares new material as he develops his next album, seeking feedback from assembled audience members. Kinsey’s work combines deft musicianship and performance to share personal narrative. His 2018 album Blackie: A Story by Roy Kinsey, explores the lives and histories of descendants of the Great Migration, considering three generations of lived experience.
