This is your big chance to watch artists ink up ginormous woodblocks that are then printed by a 10-ton paving truck in
the back driveway at CPC (enter off Lincoln or through the workshop). Inside, you can choose one of our woodcuts to
print on a tee shirt (BYOT for $10, or buy one of ours for $20), plus free veggie-stamping activities for the whole family (your kids will never scowl at a parsnip again). We aim to make this the most memorable, free, community event you’ve ever witnessed.

Our buddies Gabe Hoare and Liz Born from HOOFPRINT will be on hand to assist, Monica Kass Rogers will be taking photographs, and Andreas Nicholas will be filming. Baker Miller and Tamales Express are on board to keep everyone fed.

Kolleen Blume and Tony Scarimbolo will be rocking the fiddle tunes at 3pm. You’ll feel like you’re at a printmaking barn dance. Musicians: grab an instrument and head on over for an old time jam session during the fest from 11-3!

CPC would like to thank ROSE PAVING for their generosity
(and the aforementioned monster truck), 40th Ward Alderman Patrick O’Connor, GAMBLIN ARTISTS COLORS (ink) and all the artists volunteering and carving blocks:

Steamroller artists:
Liz Born, Cara Dailey, Joel Dugan, Rachael Gressley, Taylor Hokanson, Gabe Hoare, Catherine Jacobi, Jon Keown, Deborah Maris Lader, Bart Longacre, Cassie Tompkins, Rachelle Hill, plus our teen crew from YOUMedia.
