The explosion of digital and social media has changed our lives. But how do we measure its impact when technology advances at such a dizzying speed?

Join us for a special Facets town hall where we answer the important question: How can media build community in a fragmented digital age?

The town hall is free with RSVP and open to the public. A reception will follow the event.

A panel of distinguished experts and key Facets staff members will explore how media can become productive education tools, enhance social and civic discourse, and shape connected, caring, and inclusive communities.

Then join the panel and community leaders in a conversation about how media affects important issues in our immediate community.

Our panel members will be unveiled incrementally leading up to the event.

Daniel X. O’Neil defends transparency in data and government practices as the Director of Marketing for premier software company Ad Hoc LLC and as a Board Member of public education and engagement champion Voqal Chicago. He is dedicated to a civic tech industry, having launched several important programs encouraging community involvement through education and digital access and equity.

Facets is a pioneering Chicago nonprofit and leader in media exhibition, distribution, and education for over 40 years. We are committed to creating important democratic dialogue about the role of media in our society and daily lives.
