WAYS WE MAKE: Nurturing Black Motherhood & Building Our Creative Communities

Artist facilitator: Wisdom Baty

How do you find the time and space to create? Join us for Ways We Make – a gathering and celebration of black and brown mothers who want to share their artistry as well as their strategies for how to create and thrive as moms. This conversation will center black mothers, their children and their families.

This event is a childcare-supported gathering & conversation. As children engage in supervised play and art-making with members of Chicago Childcare Collective (ChiChiCo), mothers will connect with each other over refreshments and guided conversation. Together, we will discuss the challenges of making while parenting, share strategies for how to carve out the space and time we need, and question traditional artist spaces.

Space is limited. Please RSVP!
