The Transgender Day of Visibility is observed every year on March 31st. You are warmly invited to join us on that date (which is a Friday this year), starting at 6 p.m., for a unique and eclectic celebration of the transgender community.
Center on Halsted is proud to present our first Trans Artist Showcase, featuring a wide range of artistic talent from all over the Chicagoland transgender community. We will be showcasing:
visual art such as painting, photography, graphics, etc.;
handmade art, including weaving, clothing design, and more;
performance art, including singers, poets, actors, dancers, and maybe a surprise or two.
This year’s Transgender Day of Visibility event promises to be an engaging and highly diverse expression of remarkable artistic talent from the trans community of Chicago. We hope you’ll join us for this special celebration of transgender lives, achievements, and artistry.
