Elephant Room Gallery is proud to present their 1st BIG Small Works Art Exhibition featuring over 30 emerging artists from all over the nation. The gallery has focused on mainly Chicago-based artists since their inception in 2009 but is excited to begin working with artists from all over in order to create a broader dialogue in the Chicago art scene.
The exhibition features artwork that is 30×30 and smaller and includes painting, photography, mixed media and sculpture. After putting out a national call for artists, the gallery had a tough job of choosing works out of many strong submissions. “The response to the call got me very excited as they were so many great submissions. Even for those who did not get selected, we have made great new contacts for future group shows. We’d love to make this an annual exhibition and our Bridgeport gallery is the perfect venue for it.” – Kimberly Atwood, Director of Elephant Room Gallery.
The BIG Small Works Show brings together some Elephant Room Gallery alumni artists as well as new artists. The resulting exhibition will be an exciting mix and will allow for some great networking opportunities and community building for the duration of the exhibit.
Exhibiting artists include Han Lin, Paul Kenneth, Deva Tuckerman, Raul Ortiz, Anitra Frazier, Luisa Martinez, Sara Peak Convery, Beata Chrzanowska, Janice Meister, Jaime Foster, Lara Mann, Taylor Imel, Sergio Farfan, Gabby Fischer, Rassa Khalili, Steve Tritt, George Larson, Adrienne Elyse Meyers, David Hauptschein, Yingting Cui, Maria Tzeka, Spencer Rogers, Daniel Gamez, Maya Scott, Marie Chloé Duval, Amanda Mulcahy, Tiffany Gholar, Gina Lee Robbins, Elisa Boughner, Bruce Thorn, Hillary Miles, Stuart Hall, Lewis Taylor and Uncle Harvey.
