Women Mobilized for Change was a collective of women who worked for Open Housing policy, Education, Employment and better police relations in Chicago from 1966 to 1974. Taking the personal story of two of the original members, archival material and interviews this ensemble has created a dynamic performance celebrating the work of Women Mobilized for Change (1966 to 1974). This is the 50th Anniversary of the collective who were formed by Coretta King on July 15th , 1966.

On Saturday August 27, Women Mobilized for Change will be there to take questions and tell stories in the community conversation following the performance. The bus leaves from 36 South Wabash (their original offices) at 1pm arriving at Peace Park at 2pm. The performance will start at 2pm and will be followed by a community conversation. The bus will return to 36 Wabash leaving Peace Park at 4pm arriving at 5pm in the Loop.

The piece was Directed by Karen Yates and Choreography by Cristal Sabbagh and Written by Carron Little.
