This series is dedicated to the memory and impact of provocative artist and fearless mentor, Barbara DeGenevieve. Her practice, teaching, and research confronted issues regarding the relationship between art and sexuality, gender, trans-sexuality, censorship, ethics, and pornography. A recipient of many prestigious grants and awards, her writing has been published in art, photographic, and scholarly journals, and her work has been exhibited internationally.

This edition of What Would Barbara Do? consists of two exhibitions of video and live performance art. Projects in the exhibition must meet one of three criteria :

• by Barbara DeGenevieve.
• by former students and proteges of Barbara DeGenevieve.
• that Barbara DeGenevieve would champion.
