Columbia College Chicago’s A+D Lecture Series is pleased to present a lecture with Zoë Ryan.

Zoë Ryan is the John H. Bryan Chair and Curator of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago. Zoë has curated monographic exhibitions on the work of designer Konstantin Grcic, architect Jeanne Gang, and graphic designers Graphic Thought Facility. She is currently co-curating a major mid-career survey on the work of architect David Adjaye.

In 2014, Zoë was the curator of the Istanbul Design Biennial. Often called upon as a juror and critic, she has lectured on her work internationally. She has served as a juror for the National Design Awards, Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and the Wheelwright Fellowship, Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. She has authored and edited numerous publications, including: Building with Water: Designs, Concepts, Visions (Birkhauser Press, 2010). Zoë is an adjunct faculty member at SAIC and UIC. In 2012, Fast Company named Zoë one of 50 people shaping the future of design.
