Anne Wilson is a Chicago-based visual artist who creates sculpture, drawings, Internet projects, and DVD stop-motion animations that explore themes of time, loss, and private and social rituals. Kathryn Hixson has been writing art criticism from Chicago since 1985. She has contributed to many national and international magazines such as the New Art Examiner, Arts Magazine, and Flash Art. This collaborative presentation will revolve around Anne Wilson’s experience of planning and directing a recent exhibition at the Knoxville Museum of Art in Tennessee, Anne Wilson: Wind/Rewind/Weave and Kathyrn Hixson’s experience of viewing the show, researching topics broached by it and writing art criticism about it.
