Artist Felipe Dulzaides‘s (Cuba, 1965) installation explores the story of the unfinished National Art Schools in Havana, commissioned by Fidel Castro in 1961. Utopía Posible focuses on the School of Dramatic Arts by architect Roberto Gottardi and his 49-year quest to finish the building. The show also addresses the experimental schools by the two other architects of the complex, Vittorio Garatti and Ricardo Porro. Presented as part of the Graham Foundation’s exhibition program, which fosters the development and exchange of diverse and challenging ideas about architecture and its role in the arts, culture, and society.
