Jude Gallery is thrilled to welcome “The Land of Arden,” a community-based experimental shop presenting queer, independent, emerging garment and jewelry artists, opening on Friday, November 11th from 7:30-10:30PM
For four weekends, @land_of_arden will transform the gallery into a walk-through, try-on installation in which garments and jewelry can be slipped on and worn, deepening the necessary ritual of dressing for queer artists and for queer bodies. The gallery will be hosting open hours weekly on Saturday 1-6PM between November 11th – December 5th.
The Land of Arden is founded and run by @h.udson.caroline (b.1998, Chicago IL). In efforts to find a name for it, Hudson works to create conversations for the brief echo that occurs quickly between present and future moments. Through analyzing contemporary culture and the minute moments of Hudson’s personal life, he translates his non-fictional findings and reality into fictional worlds of existence via objects of symbols, patterns, and value.
The Land of Arden will feature the 10 artists from their inaugural FW 2022 Collection:
Mariposa Martinez – (Chicago, IL)
Mercedes Marwood – (Chicago, IL)
Simone Brandford-Altsher – (Chicago, IL)
Basha Harris – (Milwaukee, WI)
