Megan Sterling’s fragmented figuration is a vehicle for an introspective study of trauma, inner turmoil, and personal discovery. Her use of drawing, printmaking, collage and installation portrays the body in an incomplete state that reflects an ongoing process of healing and becoming.
Matt Bodett establishes meaning via mental and emotional expressions which are rooted in personal experiences with madness and the complex ways it is misunderstood. These drawings are based on diagrams of the works of Cezanne, and attempt to challenge “authoritative” declarations of fact.
