Tony Armendariz is an award-winning artist living and painting in Palatine, Illinois. Born and raised in Chicago to a graphic arts family, he learned to create with textile, photography, drawing, and painting. Graduating from the American Academy of Art in Chicago, he studied under renowned watercolor instructor Irving Shapiro. While there he began a 20+ year career as graphic artist, illustrator, and web designer.
Tony’s work has been published most notably in Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector and Watercolor Artist magazines.
Exhibition Venues include: The Butler Institute of American Art (Youngstown, OH), RJD Gallery (Bridgehampton, NY), The Salmagundi Club (New York) and Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art (Wausau, WI).
