Dream Activations: “Whose Lakefront?” and “The Dirty Books”

JeeYeun Lee and Sarabeth Dunton activate their art works in Dream. JeeYeun Lee will invite guests to take home the red sand used in her public art project Whose Lakefront, which foregrounds the occupation of Native land by marking the boundary of unceded territory in the heart of Chicago’s downtown using a line of red sand. Guests will be able to page through Sarabeth Dunton’s installation The Dirty Books, which features an ongoing series of hand-bound and embossed books installed in pools of loose graphite powder.
