In conjunction with the exhibition Learned Objects, interdisciplinary artist, researcher and teacher educator Nicole Marroquin will discuss her ceramic practice on view in the exhibition. Like her research which focuses on recuperating the history of youth and women’s leadership in the struggle for justice, her ceramic explores belonging and spatial justice. Marroquin will be in conversation with Allison Peters Quinn, Director of Exhibitions & Residency at Hyde Park Art Center. Peters Quinn work over the past ten years has been focused on realizing projects that address intersections between art, public space, and civically minded practices.
