Engage in the Labyrinth of Life: Installation by Corinne Peterson in Gallery 901 at Open Studio Project

View a labyrinth made from hundreds of clay objects—artifacts of the interior of people’s fists, which we call clenches. Individuals forcefully squeezed soft clay to express frustration, determination, grief, or even joy in these chaotic times.

At a socially distanced opening reception, you will be invited to make a clay clench to contribute to future Clench Project exhibits. Each subsequent exhibit will be larger and the artist plans to exhibit a Clench labyrinth large enough for people to walk.

The Labyrinth installation will be on exhibit through December in Gallery 901, a part of Open Studio Project, 901 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL.
