Pour One Out: Shame, Shameless, Shameful

@ Volumes Bookcafe

Online

Opening Wednesday, October 14th, from 7PM - 8:30PM

Pour One Out returns to the virtual space on Wednesday October 14th at 7pm. This will be a virtual event.
The theme: Shame, Shameless, Shameful.

Shame is a difficult subject to tackle. We are afraid to share personal stories because of shame, stigma, embarrassment, and judgment. Yet sharing personal stories enables us to de-shame and de-stigmatize. When we share stories about shame, we also give people the permission to share their own, thus reducing the power of shame over us.

We have a great lineup of storytellers who will explore this theme:
Ana Arredondo
Karen Clanton
Pearl Paramadilok
Keisa Reynolds
Jojo Rodriguez
Casey Ryan
Laura Scruggs
Morgan Svoboda

You don’t want to miss this group of new and experienced tellers. You don’t hear from them often, but they have important stories to tell. Join us for an evening of vulnerable and engaging storytelling at the virtual space.
Pour One Out, produced and hosted by Ada Cheng, is a growing storytelling community. We feature strong and unique voices. We build community through intimacy and vulnerability. We are committed to cultivating and developing new tellers as we bring tellers of all experience levels together. We strive for equitable inclusion.
