Community lunch is an ongoing tradition at Mana Contemporary Chicago, where artists convene weekly to catch up, meet new people, and exchange ideas over lunch. Join us in this virtual lunch series where we introduce two members from the Mana Contemporary community in conversation about what they’re doing and creating during this time.

This week, artists Molly Hewitt and Queef Latina join us for lunch.

Molly Hewitt is a director, production designer, and performance artist who performs under the alias Glamhag. Holy Trinity is Glam’s feature debut about a dominatrix who can speak to the dead after huffing the contents of an aerosol can. They received an Illinois Arts Council grant, a Chicago individual artist grant and were listed in the Newcity’s Film 50 Screen Gems of 2018. Glam’s on screen acting credits include Easy and Make-out Party.

Queef Latina is the housewife of the future—the non-binary future, that is. Named Miami’s Best Drag Performer by the Miami New Times, she is the mother of downtown Miami’s new age of drag. Not only is she a performer, she’s also a sewing instructor and creator of South Florida’s biggest queer festival, WIGWOOD, which recently won the title of best festival of 2018.
