MEANT SO MUCH TO ME is a new collage movie by Chicago video artist HAWK MARTHA.
A follow-up to last winter’s 100 Video Video Hour, this piece uses remixed, repurposed, refound & refried footage from a dizzying array of sources to create a unified work of unique emotional resonance. One part frenetic VJ set, one part surreal comedy, one part experimental film, all meld together to form MEANT SO MUCH TO ME.
Past reviews of HAWK:
“I feel both smarter and dumber at the same time.”
“It’s like Everything is Terrible, but if they thought life was good.”
Hawk Martha has previously held screenings locally at Cafe Mustache (twice!), Beat Kitchen, Bric-a-Brac Records, and un-locally in Detroit, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles. For more information visit hawkmartha.com
