LYRA HILL

Sir Lyra Hill is an artist, educator, and Master of Ceremonies who specializes in mingling disciplines and provoking crowds. Lyra has screened films, published comics, and performed weird stuff in Canada, Mexico, Scotland, England, Australia, Amsterdam, Greece and across the USA. From 2011-2014 they ran the legendary performative comix reading series BRAIN FRAME. In 2016 NewCity Magazine named them “Best Urban Ritualist.” In 2017, they created the ritual variety show MULTI CULT, which occurs quarterly in Los Angeles.cializes in mingling disciplines and provoking crowds. MARNIE GALLOWAY

Marnie Galloway is a Chicago cartoonist best known for her award-winning wordless comic “In the Sounds and Seas.” Other notable comics include “Particle/Wave,” “Burrow,” and “Slightly Plural.” She served for four years as a core organizer of the Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE), and has worked as an art director of children’s literature and science magazines. These days she spends early mornings and late nights at her drafting table, and all hours in between hanging out with her two young children.

MAX MORRIS

Max Morris is a Chicago-based comics and art maker. His work has appeared in various publications over the past decade, and has self-published books such as “Man in the Trees” and “Repeater”. He has previously lead comic readings with live music at other Chicago variety series. Featured with this reading are Chicago musicians Davey Hart, Jeff Goulet, and Janice Lim, with contributions by Jill Flanigan.”

JULES DARLING

Mx. Jules Darling (they/ them) is a Chicago-based cartoonist, illustrator, and improviser. Their work explores Queer identity, incorporating diary comics, science fiction, and witchcraft. Darling serves as a reoccurring artist for The Arts & Culture Club variety show, drawing the performers live during their sets. You can find Darling performing with Phantom Pilots at The Playground Theater on Tuesday evenings at 8 pm, improvising TV pilots that hit the cutting room floor.

ALLIE TRIGOSO

Allie Trigoso is an animator and cartoonist living in Chicago, IL. She relocated from hot and sweaty San Antonio, TX to study 2D and stop-motion animation at DePaul University. Allie loves shitty weather, campy horror, and making people uncomfortable. Her work features gross weirdos living their best lives and/or dealing with difficult relationships.
