MUSIC PERFORMANCES

Carlile

Carlile is the solo alt-pop project of Emily Nichols, a Chicago-based singer, songwriter and producer. Nichols’ velvety vocals first emerged in the Chicago music scene as the front woman of the music collective Woo Park, a psychedelic soul sextet known for blending elements of jazz, funk and electronic music. After leaving Woo Park, Carlile released singles “Better Suitor” and “Spare Me” independently.

Her upcoming EP, Back Seat, sends a bold, unapologetic message while engaging the listener in textural dreamscape. It features Chicago indie rapper Nnamdi Ogbonnaya & producer Uuskhy.

The Chicago Tribune described Nichols as “pop music with substance, featuring a vocalist who can sing. That might not seem rare, but it is.”

Phil.

Actor & independent artist from Charlotte, NC, Phillip Johnson Richardson or “Phil.” has continuously worked to make an impact in the entertainment industry. A high energy diverse songwriter, vocalist & rapper, Phil. is a force to be reckoned with. From graduating college to almost instantly moving to Chicago becoming a part of the cast of Hamilton: An American Musical and occasionally portray the title role, to now being cast in the new Apple TV series, Little Voice, that is to be released in 2020. All while creating/releasing music independently.

Sarah Marie Young is an award winning singer, songwriter and musician. She was a semi-finalist in the 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition and the winner of the 2011 Montreux Voice Competition judged by Quincy Jones.
