“The Coffee Book”, a book with 55 translations of Chicky’s poem The Coffee, will be launched in UGLY, Chicago on Nov 18, with art, music, and poetry in Hebrew, English and other languages.
UGLY hosts the “Extraction Leaves a Hole” exhibition by Efrat Hakimi and Madeline Gallucci. One of the works is the poem The Coffee engraved on the gallery wall.
This is a good excuse for an eccentric show by Roy Chicky Arad, the Tel Avivian ultra-sonic musician+poet+activist, with tunes from dusty electro to lo-pop. This will be Chicky’s first show in Chicago, and his last day in United States.
