Opening Wednesday, November 13th, from 11AM - 6PM
On view through Saturday, November 30th
Native Illinois prairie seeds & plants, on loan from Midewin, are part of the Tatiana Bilbao Estudio exhibition “Unraveling Modern Living.”
The display will run through January 11 in the Madlener House – a historic prairie-style mansion in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood that is now home to the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts.
Mexico City-based architecture office Tatiana Bilbao Estudio incorporated Midewin seeds & plants into an immersive installation that transforms a former domestic space & explores new forms of collectivity.
The exhibition is presented in partnership with the 2019 Chicago Architecture Biennial. There will be on-site talks and workshops throughout the show; confirmed dates soon to follow.
