Lit & Luz invites you to read our summer book club selections and MEET THE AUTHORS in the fall!

Our third book club selection is a bilingual novel in poems, ANTÍGONA GONZÁLEZ by Mexican poet, Sara Uribe:

The novel asks, “What is a body when it’s lost?”

Written in fragments/prose poems, Antígona González channels the many versions of Antigone to tell us the story of the search for her disappeared brother (one amongst the many in Mexico that have been disappeared during the war on drugs). This is a timely reading that shows us what we all need to see.

Read the book, join the book club discussion at Pilsen Outpost, and meet Sara Uribe in October at the Lit & Luz Festival!

Support our local bookstore partners. Purchase your books at Volumes (Wicker Park) and City Lit (Logan Square).

Go to www.litluz.org/bookclub for complete details.

Note: Spanish and English language readers are welcome. The discussion will be in both languages with interpretation (as requested)
