Kitchen and Table: Hotpot Dinner
6018 N Kenmore Ave, Chicago, IL 60660
Opening Thursday, September 26th, at 6:30PM
On view through Friday, September 27th
Kitchen and Table is a dinner series that invites you to dine with group of friends and strangers around a hotpot (a form of table-top cooking common throughout Asia and the diaspora), where we try together to upend predetermined ideas about labor, hierarchy, personal space and comfort that are often embedded into our habits around eating.
Join this collaboration with guests from all around the city of Chicago, including some of our amazing community partners committed to justice work in its various neighborhoods, in traversing the walls that separate the heat of the kitchen from the pleasures of the dinner table.
An RSVP is appreciated to help us anticipate food and drink: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/justice-hotel-at-6018north-kitchen-and-table-hotpot-tickets-73694812167
If you are unable to attend but are interested in supporting the Justice Hotel’s mission, we invite you to purchase a ticket for someone else to attend who might otherwise find it cost-prohibitive.
This meal will have a vegan friendly option, and is inclusive of dinner, wine, beer, and dessert.
Please let us know of any food allergies when booking.
