MOLASSES: CURATED AND CULTIVATED BY THE MINDS OF BLACK, QUEER, AND TRANS PEOPLE, CELEBRATING THE WORK AND ARTISTRY OF BLACK, NON-CISGENDER PEOPLE AND TGNC, NON-CISGENDER PEOPLE OF COLOR

Molasses, like many of our Queer siblings, is aware that Pride Month can be a month of dissonance for some of us in our community. Not everyone feels included in Pride, especially our Black Queer family who don’t always feel represented in vastly young, white, and cisgender images and spaces that dominate Pride and Boystown.

For Pride and June’s programming, Molasses is aiming to curate a different atmosphere. Please join us Thursday, June 20th for an intergenerational event where we are elevating QTPOC who redefine what Pride can look like. Specifically, we are celebrating the communities that have made Pride what it is, namely, the trans and nonbinary people that led and lead the resistance against cissexism and queerphobia to this day
