‘A Collection of Tears 2012- Present’ exhibition presents
Chicago-based artist Soo Shin’s new sculptures and drawing. The body of work in the exhibition explores personal emotion and experience as
a common ground within us and the means to represent them. The exhibition is centered around numerous tiny sculptures Shin has created with her tears by mixing them with concrete since 2012. Through the exhibition, Shin emphasizes the strength in openness and vulnerability.

Soo Shin holds a MFA from the School of Art Institute of Chicago. Her work
has been shown at various locations throughout the country and she has received
fellowships from MacDowell Colony (NH), Vermont Studio Center (VT),
Ox-bow (MI), and Arts and Industry program at Kohler Arts Center (WI).
