PUBLIC SPACES, features the works of Wicker Park and Chicago artists who work in Public Spaces. Here in Chicago we have had an influx of mural commissions, as well as a legacy of public art, and other pedestrian practices. Along with murals, artists have been utilizing the streets in different ways for years to make their art. This exhibition explores the nuances of artistic practices often associated with art seen and or made in public spaces. The gallery is also open to artwork that is a part of out of studio practices from artists who typically make work in the studio.
