Jean Albano Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of sculptures by John Maloof. This is a new body of painstakingly hand-crafted and beautifully finished abstract forms. They embody a sense of organic life, growth and movement. Maloof draws inspiration from artists such as H. C. Westermann, Barbara Hepworth, The Hairy Who and Joseph Cornell.
Maloof is also well-known for his discovery of the now famous photographs by Vivian Maier, and for co-directing Academy Award nominated documentary “Finding Vivian Maier.”
