Our first Sappho’s of 2019! Wow, that was fast.

Yes, it’s three days before Valentine’s Day. So we might talk about love. Or lack thereof. Or genderqueer robots. We like to keep it open.

Who will we have on the docket? Our very good friend Ada Cheng, who does so much storytelling, production, and theater we can’t possibly list it all here, and our also very good friend Elizabeth Swanson, who’s the director of the smash hit “I Know My Own Heart” at Pride Films and Plays, and who would modestly deny that she is an authority on many theatrical and queer things, and a really funny storyteller/performer to boot.

Also, YOU! And our open mic! Open to cis women, trans and nonbinary folks, with both 5 and 8 minute slots, we want to see your shining, lovestruck/lovecurdled faces. If you perform, you get a bookstore coupon for treating that significant other…or, you know, you, because you’re damn significant.

Pay What You Can, all donations benefit performers and Women’s Voices Fund. We’ll have the usual hummus and dolmades and probably also chocolate! Oh and Liz Baudler and Eileen Tull because otherwise you may as well just be in a beautiful feminist bookstore with some cool people. Wait a second…
