Learn about the fibers that make up textiles that clothe us and help keeps us warm with a hands-on experience with unprocessed and processed materials. Try your hand at spinning some yarn and listen to Aimee Buckle who owns Overland Farm & Fiber in Michigan. Aimee will be at Compound Yellow on January 26 from 2-4pm sharing her stories about what compels her to farm and discuss the state of the domestic woolen industry today. She will also bring a variety of fleeces and finished goods to share and sell. Feel free to bring in-progress work to share if you happen to be a knitter/crocheter. Each event is free of charge.
