The Chicago Art Book Fair presents:
Open 24 Hours Guided Tour
Sunday, November 18 from 2 to 3PM
Fine Arts Display Case | Floor 2, Opposite Milk Room | Chicago Athletic Association hotel
Open 24 Hours is a response to the littering of bottles in artist Edra Soto’s neighborhood and how it relates to the historic connection between African Americans and cognac through its genesis in the 1930s to contemporary repercussions instigated by hip-hop and rap culture.
Join Edra Soto on a guided tour of Open 24 Hours, a display that consists of a selection of glass bottles that Soto collected during this summer. She will also share related archival material she posts regularly on her Instagram, documenting the bottles currently on display.
Open 24 Hours on view throughout the month of November. This exhibition was curated by Johanna Projects.
