Kim Knoll: Outside In

@ The Martin

2515 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60647

Opening Friday, November 16th, from 7PM - 10PM

On view through Sunday, November 18th

Kim Knoll’s work is an abstract interpretation of memories and moments from my time spent in nature. Living in the city of Chicago, there’s not a lot of nature around Knoll, so she tries to bring the outdoors in. Knoll is heavily influenced by a background in graphic design, using simplified shapes to form visual representations of ideas and messages. She is drawn to combining minimalism and the obscure, allowing herself and others to see what they want to see.
