Langston Allston is a painter and muralist based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Allston uses his art practice as a way to tell stories, drawn from his own experiences, and from the experiences of people in his community. His work provides an opportunity to reflect on these shared moments and histories, and to draw a thread between the past and the present. Traveling through the United States has provided Allston with an incredible amount of material to work from, but New Orleans is a uniquely inspiring environment to pull that material together. Allston has teamed up with Kevin Coval for this MILWAUKEE AVE chapbook and more forthcoming work in the coming year.
