About the Artist:

As an artist Rebecca produces textural items that are evocative of places and times that are not here and now. Most specifically, it is her joy to create unique object collections to commemorate individuals’ significant life events. When a person interacts with tactile objects from important seasons in life then that person is helped to review past events and the life that those events have created. The sense of touch activates free recall of memories that might otherwise be buried, and reviewing our life stories helps each of us maintain our individual sense of self over time. In this way, we are empowered toward a better understanding of our present circumstances. Altogether, this process of recall and review serves as a reminder of our true self and strengthens our inner resiliency.
