Snow City Arts inspires and educates children and youth in hospitals through the arts. Our professionally trained Teaching Artists work one-on-one with pediatric patients to learn about art and create art. We offer workshops in the disciplines of visual arts, music, theater, creative writing, and film. Last year, we provided 1000 children with over 3000 arts education workshops, but there was also a total of 161,000 children in Illinois who missed school due to hospital care. Our program not only encourages artistic exploration and creative decision making for children in the hospital but it fills an educational gap.
