The Garage is proud to host a dialogue surrounding the effects that modern technology has had on the arts. Join us for some free Lou Malnati’s pizza and a night full of questions and answers regarding the past and the future of the various industries such as music, television and more!

The talk features Professor Jacob Smith, who has written several books, including Vocal Tracks: Performance and Sound Media (2008), Spoken Word: Postwar American Phonograph Cultures (2011), and Eco-Sonic Media (2015, all from the University of California Press), and has published articles on media history, sound, and performance.
