Especially Now

@ DfbrL8r

1463 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60642

Opening Friday, December 15th, from 5PM - 9PM

On view through Saturday, December 16th

Especially Now is a show comprised of fourteen emerging artists working across and between a variety of mediums including weaving, printmaking, writing, performance, video, and photography. Themes explored in our work range from environmental concerns to institutional critiques, issues of migration, the metaphysical, and the socio-political. Pushing against the idea that our works’ inherent political content requires re-contextualization in this post-election environment is central to all of our values and ethics as artists.

We have always made important work.

This show is a statement that stands for our commitment to our collective bond. As a group intimately invested in each other’s success and growth as human beings and makers, we have a responsibility to take for the well being of the larger communities and environments we have stakes in.
