Coming full circle describes the idea of how we have returned to a similar position, but we are somehow different than before.
Circles have no beginning and no end – they represent the eternal whole. Circles occur on a large and small scale within our reality, including the sun, the moon, the earth, red blood cells, and the iris of an eye. Circles represent free movement and depth. They are graceful, feminine and suggest energy and power. They offer safety and connection by confining what is within to keep certain conditions outside.
The continuous cycle of a circle inspires a need for simplicity. The challenge is to create something minimalistic with a limited palette strictly using the circle. The end product is a body of work where the colors come to the forefront and the composition generates balance. This constraint produces unity and harmony that evokes an emotional response, which encourages the viewer to invent their own narrative. By focusing on the minute details, the overall production is symbolic of the infinite and completeness – divine perfection.
