Culture Coast is proud to present our first-ever Culture Crawl; an all-day event highlighting just a few of the many cultural gems in our membership network. All events are free and family-friendly. Special Exhibit: A Cosmopolitan City

Come visit the special exhibit before it is closed. Explore how Old Cairo’s communities lived together and melded their traditions to create an ever-growing, multi-cultural society during the 7th to 12th centuries AD.

“Black Comic Book Heroes and Villains”

This is a celebration of the Black Age of Comics Movement, which seeks to expand the world of graphic novels and comic books to embrace creators and concepts derived from the Black, African, Urban, or indie experience.

Celebrate the openings of Jessica Stockholder’s new installation Rose’s Inclination and the Smart’s wholly reinstalled collection galleries. This family-friendly opening reception features a colorful, collaborative sculpture-making activity and more.

Outdoor Art-making Activity for All Ages

Culture Crawlers are invited to use a variety of media—paint, markers, string, and more—to make beautiful panels come to life. Participants will then have the opportunity to display their panels side-by-side with other participants’ works on the Art Center’s exterior doors to create one large collective installation. Also tour the Arts Center’s current exhibits.
