BJAM: Connexion

@ Elephant Room, Inc.

704 S Wabash Ave, Chicago IL 60605

Opening Saturday, September 12th, from 7PM - 9:30PM

On view through Saturday, September 26th

Elephant Room is excited to welcome collaborative group, BJAM, in the upcoming exhibition, “Connexion.” BJAM is comprised of artists Jaime Foster, Michael Foster, Barry Dwyer, and Andy Christopoulos. Beginning their collaboration in November of 2014, they’ve continued producing new works together in various studios across Chicago. The four artists collaborate on one canvas, combining each of their individual styles and processes, in order to create a visual unified harmony.

“Connexion” explores the possibilities form and content can take when a collective group creates together. The harmonious nature to the works is a testament to the collaborative process and the decision to know when the piece is complete. The strengths of each artist are a complement to one another and the dynamic collection speaks to the importance of artists supporting one another to reach a common goal.

A reception will take place Saturday, September 12th from 7 to 9:30pm at Elephant Room Gallery located at 704 S Wabash Ave. in the Wabash Arts Corridor of Chicago. The exhibition will run September 5th through September 26th with open hours on Saturdays 11am to 5pm or by appointment. More information can be found on the gallery’s website: www.elephantroomgallery.com.

About Barry Dwyer
Barry’s work combines a simplistic and complex style. Every image he creates is charged with constantly flowing creativity. He says he doesn’t create these images, rather, they create themselves.

About Jaime Foster
Jaime takes inspiration from the natural world around her to create abstracted environments. These environments come from nature’s details and patterns, as well as its overwhelming, ever changing self.

About Andy Christopoulos
Andy looks intensely into the meaning behind exploration. Through an exploration of art itself, he comments on the spirit of mankind as well as his own.

About Michael Foster
By creating abstract work with acrylics and ink, Michael visually represents data and information in its raw form. This in turn, becomes a conversation between the viewer and the information being dealt with on a daily basis.
