BOLT Resident Adebukola Bodunrin presents her most recent body of work in, …until one day…, a whimsically morose, “anthropological study” that investigates the complex and unstable conflux of tragedy and fantasy surrounding the doomsday narrative. Gathering a diverse range of human subjects, Bodunrin queried, “Given the power, how would you end the world?” The responses were re-interpreted by the artist in the form of hand-animated portraits, which highlight the nuances of a seemingly innate fascination with global cataclysm across cultural, economic and generational lines.
